A lot of people didn’t like having their photo taken and disapproved of being followed and watched. It was hard to comprehend how that was a bad thing to Hywel. When the world didn’t know you even existed, all you ever craved was attention. How was worshipping someone, considered creepy? How was it in any way wrong? Wasn’t it the greatest compliment for a stranger to want to take your photograph? It was more romantic than criminal, surely?
It wasn’t as though he planned any of it. Everything he did was driven by a natural desire, an overwhelming urge. There was no predetermination, other than ensuring there was always film in his camera. It wasn’t as though he was a serial killer or anything like that, as if that sort of thing could ever happen in the sleepy Welsh Borders…
